TEACHER APRONS are here!

Here are a few of the Teacher Aprons.  Some are 3 pocket, some have 2 larger pockets.  Waist tie can tie in back, or for those skinny minnies out there, ties can wrap around and tie in front with a little square knot. Click on the "Teacher Apron" page for details.        Great for popping in your:

phone, a snack (shhhh),
popsicle sticks, dry erase markers,
pencils, stickers, a ruler, whistle, flash cards
or other manipulatives!
Clip your keys to the tab, where provided.
Use your imagination!

A black and tan. 3 pocket type.
                               No tab.

Tan and browns surround a cheerful yellow floral.    2 roomy pockets.

Below to the left, a bright red, white,
and blue apron with
3 pockets.

Cherry red with rainbow colors.  Smaller pockets on the 3 pocket apron. ABC buttons.

Valerie's Apron!

The most recent apron (other than teacher aprons) that I've finished.   Valerie chose the fabrics and I assembled the apron for her birthday.  I hear grey is the new neutral!

It is a flounce style with a different neckline than I usually do.
And, it has "tips" on the ties.

Broken

I am trying to be philosophical.....calm....My sewing machine broke today.  Had this one only about 2 months.  The nearest certified repair place is 60 miles away...Are you kidding me???  Breathe....I have 4 nearly finished teacher aprons sitting on the sewing table.  Inhale...exhale...

Apron Pockets?! Why?

I have been asked why people put pockets on aprons....
My experience is that MOST, not all, people
prefer them.

I love the design factor...
It's fun to put buttons, bows, contrasting fabrics, or ribbon on them.
You can create a focal point.
It can be symmetrical or asymetrical.

I think they add a spot of cuteness.

But even more, it is so nice to have a place to drop your phone, or your rings..

In the case of teacher aprons, so nice to have a place to stash cash, popsicle sticks, flash cards, small manipulatives, keys, whistle, etc.
BTW:  I have the fabrics and have begun some teacher aprons!

I am sure there are other things one could use them for.  But for me, those are the main reasons.
Thoughts?

Newest Apron: Black, White, Pink

Here is the newest apron.  It came from tablecloth fabric that I fell in love with.  I added pink "tips" for an added shot of color.  My camera is NOT the greatest so the pink doesn't look true on lower parts.  The pink is a soft, carnation pink, (or so I would describe it,) even though it looks alot lighter in parts of the picture. Black, White, Pink! The ties are made from the tablecloth fabric border.  Black on the back and striped on the front.

This is one of the scalloped designs.

I love these black buttons.  I use them whenever I can!
