August is here! 

School is just around the corner. 

Fall with all of its smells, sights, sounds, tastes, will be here before we know it! 

And I am back to sewing and trying out new patterns!

(Maybe in preparation for all that yummy Fall cooking?)

Been thinking....about a lot of things. 

A new apron style....my stash in the sewing room.....about Halloween....about that darling apron I made for Natalie for last Halloween. 

I should make her new hubby a guy apron that sort of matches. 

LOVE Halloween! Not the dark, ugly, evil side....but the dress up and spooky-in-a-fun-way side. 

Thinking about how hysterically fun/ny last year's family Halloween party was.

Finding cute ways to decorate outside. 

Recently I saw a picture of a small, rustic bench beside a front door. 

It had a cute lantern and various sized pumpkins on and around it, and pots of fall colored mums surrounding it.  It looked so FALL and so welcoming. 

What is it that makes us want to create?  Or love colors, smells, styles, tastes, certain design elements? Nature and nurture...yes.  But sometimes it seems so much more.  Hmmmmm.....

Back to Normal???

Whew! 

Last couple months have been crazy! 

Family moves and a wedding! 

The wedding was actually last weekend and I am still dreaming of wedding food, decorations, cleanup, what I would have done differently, etc. 

My baby just got married to a wonderful, wonderful young man. 

 As she is daughter #4, and since I have never employed a wedding planner, I feel like I need a vacation or something?  Chocolate sort of dulls the pain and exhaustion. 

I will soon be back to my fabric stashes and enjoying the world of

fabrics, colors, patterns, food, and fun!

I MISS YOU!

    Haven't been on for a bit.  Helping family with various things/situations...but I LONG to get back to my machine and my blog.  And cooking! (HaPpY FaCe!)  A daughter's family's move, and a new baby coming!!  The iris and roses are starting to pop and I am longing to get my fingers in the dirt!  Another love.  So many loves, so little time.  Sigh....
     Just finished Josi Kilpack's last culinary mystery, Banana Split.  Loved it. 
     Things should calm down in a couple weeks and I can share some more wonderful aprons, and food, and thoughts!  I hope you will share some with me, too!
